HCM Conference: From Dirichlet Forms to Wasserstein Geometry

29.08.2022 - 02.09.2022

Venue: Wegelerstr. 10, Bonn

Organizers:

  • Matthias Erbar
  • Martin Huesmann
  • Eva Kopfer
  • Max von Renesse
  • Hendrik Weber

Description: This conference is devoted to developments at the interfaces of stochastics, analysis and geometry that have built powerful, often unexpected links across a variety of fields and have deepened the understanding of the interplay of stochastic dynamics, partial differential equations, and geometric features of the underlying spaces as well as of singular behaviour in stochastic systems.

The conference program will host a series of plenary lectures by leading scholars. It will be accompanied by a conference on "New Trends in Dirichlet Forms and Optimal Transport" hosting parallel sessions on dedicated topics during the afternoons.

Contact: Matthias Erbar, Eva Kopfer, conference-df2ot(at)iam.uni-bonn.de

Participation is free. In case you are interested in participating, please fill out the Participation Form. The deadline for applications is July 15, 2022 (CET).

We gratefully acknowledge the financial support by HCM and ERC Advanced Grant "Metric measure spaces and Ricci curvature - analytic, geometric, and probabilistic challenges".
